Sunset or Sunrise Hike
Hiking in the dark is required if you want to enjoy the sunrise or sunset from the top of a mountain. One of the most important aspects of night hiking is having a strong and reliable light source. Even better? How about a badass Hippy Viking guide to lead the way? Let us customize your adventure and together we can coerce the Gods into providing a magically starry night along with a rising or setting sun that lights the sky on fire. Fun fact: Certain foods can help improve your night vision over time. Add some sweet potatoes, carrots, mangoes, apricots, and other foods packed with Vitamin A into your diet.

Catoctin Mountain Park
One of the most popular hiking areas in Maryland boasting great overlooks, challenging ascents and incredible rock formations (part of the ancient Appalachian Mountains that were formed 250 million years ago. Geologically speaking, these mountains are very old!). What kind of hiking mood are you in? Offering easy to strenuous hikes that can lead you to stunning vistas or more quiet experiences immersed in nature, numerous options are available. Some say hiking is just walking where it’s okay to pee. We actually say that, too. That certainly applies to Catoctin Mountain Park, where there’s adventure and beauty at every bend in the trail.

Sugarloaf Mountain
Sugarloaf Mountain is the prominence visible in the Piedmont as it rises out of the plains just southeast of Frederick. It’s also a welcome bit of eye candy you get to enjoy while you’re stuck on 270 heading to or from Frederick. Sugarloaf has many wonderful hiking trails that can be combined to create different loops. There are also some short hikes with big payoffs where you should allow more time to soak up the views. We will customize an experience based on the miles you want to hike and the time you want to spend frolicking on the trails with us.
